Equine Massage Certification

To be certified in the Hands to Hide Equine massage approach, an individual needs to complete the online quiz and send three videos performing a full massage session based on the techniques described in the Hands to Hide Equine massage manual and videos. Students may use the same horse for each video if needed. The quiz can be completed at any time after review of the manual information.

I prefer the videos be as complete as possible rather than one session broken into numerous videos. This helps me see that the student is remembering the steps in order and performing them correctly. It can be beneficial to have an assistant film for you as you work through the equine massage session.

I request that students only film one video at a time and wait for critiques/tips before moving onto filming the next video for evaluation. That way if there are any improvements that need to be made, the student can demonstrate them in the other videos.  Please note that a student may be asked to redo a session if it does not follow the criteria of the Hands to Hide Equine massage steps and techniques.

After a completed online quiz and three videos have been submitted and evaluated, a certificate will be sent to the student. The certificate declares that an individual has successfully learned and demonstrated the techniques taught in the Hands to Hide Equine massage program under the guidance of myself, Kristen Wilke, owner of Hands to Hide Equine and Preferred Educational Provider with the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork. The certificate also lists the student’s name and date of achievement.

Videos can be uploaded to YouTube as long as they are marked as ‘Unlisted’. The private link can then be sent to Hands to Hide Equine for evaluation. Students may also choose to share videos via Dropbox. Videos or links can be submitted through email to: handstohide@gmail.com or info@handstohide.com.

The program can be done at your own pace. There is no time limit or expiration. However, I do suggest dedicating a minimum of five hours a week to the material. Once you purchase the program, you are a lifetime customer and can reach out at any time with questions.

Students will learn to identify different equine body parts and structures through equine anatomy. Students will learn how to perform a full body equine massage session that focuses on holistic healing and alignment through myofascial manipulation and muscle release. This is accomplished by learning and executing correct stretching, pressure, vibration, and palpation techniques that are described in the Hands to Hide Equine massage manual and demonstrated through the Hands to Hide Equine massage videos.

The cancellation policy does not apply once purchase has been made for the online program. All purchases made through the website are non-refundable.  This is due to the finality of the product once purchase has been completed. For live seminars, the student is informed of the non-refundable deposit to hold their place for the clinic.  If the student is unable to attend the live seminar, they do not receive the non-refundable deposit back.
